I hope you are all keeping well.
I have been reading Inside Vogue by Alexander Shulman all about the 100th year of Vogue… I mean can you believe it 100 years old! That issue was incredible HRH The Duchess of Cambridge looked gorgeous
On the 25th of January 2017, ALexandra Shulman announced that she would be stepping down as Editor in Chief of British Vogue after 25 years and we have finally gotten news of her successor.
Meet Edward Enninful
Not only is Edward left to fill Alexandra’s shoes, he is also the first male editor of British Vogue.
Edward was born in Ghana and has over 30 years of experience in the fashion industry. His attention to detail, passion in the fashion industry landed him in a directing role at I-D magazine. Enninful is not new to Vogue and in 1998 he acted as contributing editor in Vogue Italia; most notably going on to lead the production of the 2008 “Black Issue”, which featured only black models throughout the pages.
According to the Guardian, upon announcing the appointment, Condé Nast, publisher of Vogue, called Enninful “an influential figure in the communities of fashion, Hollywood and music which shape the cultural zeitgeist”
His editorial skills are to-die-for so we’re expecting actual magic in the Vogue pages come September.
I can’t wait for that new issue.
Let’s see what Edward can really do
